Le NUBUCK est une finition du cuir. Sa particularité vient du fait qu’il a subi un traitement particulier. En effet, sa FLEUR a été meulée ou grattée au papier de verre très fin. C’est pourquoi elle revêt cette apparence veloutée et sa douceur au toucher. Le pponçage de la fleurl ui donne un aspect qui diffère largement du suède. Comme seule la surface externe du cuir est touchée par le traitement, il possède une meilleure résistance et conserve toute la finesse de son grain. La fleur du cuir, c’est le coté poil de la peau.
ON peut Nubucker toutes sorte de cuir, le veau mais aussi les peaux exotiques …
Le veau velours, c’est le cuir présenté côté chair, L’aspect du Veau Velours sera moins fin que celui du NUBUCK.
Le « daim » n’est plus fait en daim depuis fort longtemps, et c’est aujourd’hui une simple appellation pour décrire le veau-velours ou le nubuck .
